Why You Should Clean Stainless Steel Garden Memorial
Stainless steel is a durable material that holds up well in all types of weather. One of the best things about this material, is that it casts a shiny look to your yard. Every now and then, you’ll want to polish up the memorial to keep it shiny.
What You Need to Clean Your Memorials
There are a few things that you will need in order to clean the metal urn.
- lint free cloth for washing
- absorbent towel for drying
- bucket of warm water mixed with mild dish soap
- rubbing alcohol
- baking soda
- glass cleaner
Once you have these items, you can head outside to clean the urn in the memorial garden.
How to Clean The Metal
Start by soaking your lint free cloth in the warm, soapy water. Wash over the stainless steel and dry off with the towel.
Look over the urn for heavily soiled areas that need spot treating. If you see areas that need to be cleaned more intentionally, you can do one of two things.
Use a little rubbing alcohol on the heavily soiled spot. If the dirt does not come off, then you might need to make a paste out of the baking soda.
Mix 2 tablespoons of baking soda with a few drops of water and scrub the stainless steel with a soft cloth. Wash off with warm soapy water and dry.
To get fingerprints or streak marks off of your urn, then you can use glass cleaner. Simply spray over the surface with the glass cleaner and then wipe with a paper towel.
