Moongazing Hare – Bronze Resin Cremation Urns for the Garden. These stunning garden hares have been beautifully designed by an extremely talented sculptor who has made them with cold cast Bronze and with a removable head so that they are completely waterproof and frost proof. This means that you can safely place some of the ashes of your loved one inside and they will remain dry and safe.

Whilst we understand that lots of people want to bury their loved one’s ashes in their garden it does make it difficult if you ever need to leave the property. Our garden memorials are specifically designed so that when you move they can come with you.

These hares would make a fabulous addition to any garden and can be a stunning central feature or sit more discreetly in amongst the plants and flowers, or maybe even a favourite sunning spot.

What size is the garden memorial?

The hare has been designed to hold the approximately 350g of ashes which is perfect for a token amount of your loved one’s ashes. As long as your religious beliefs don’t prevent you from splitting the ashes you could scatter some or gift them to family members so that they can choose their own way of memorialisation.

Keeping the ashes

Many people keep their loved one’s ashes at home, some because they are not sure what to do with them. Some because they are not yet ready to do something with them. And some simply want to keep them close by, in the house.

Sometimes, very well meaning, friends will give advice such as ‘it’s time to move on’ or ‘you’ll feel better if you scatter/bury them’. But only you will know how you feel with the loss of your loved one and only you will know when and if the time is right to do something else with the ashes.

Moving house

We are a nation of gardeners and lots of people would love to place their loved one’s ashes in the garden that they loved, nurtured and enjoyed.  The main downside to burying the ashes in the garden is having to move house. If you ever have to sell your house you will have to find and dig the ashes up or leave them behind. This can be stressful for all involved. But if you keep them inside an ornament in the garden you get the best of both worlds. If you do ever need to move home you can simply take them with you.

Discreet memorials

The other benefit of a memorial garden ornament is that it is completely discreet. This will give you more time to decide what you want to do as your feelings may change over time. Until then these urns can keep the ashes safely at home without you having to explain your reasons to anyone, if someone admires the keepsake it is up to you whether you tell them or not.
