Description
The bronze waterurn gives you a wonderful way to memorialise in your garden. This beautiful urn can be placed in a natural environment of your choice: by a pond, in a dappled corner or as a centerpiece – the choice is yours.
It is more than just a beautiful object, its purpose is use captured rainwater to allow the ashes of a loved one to return to the earth gradually over a period of years.
The urn offers sufficient space for the ashes of at least one loved one, potentially two. Adding the ashes of another loved one is possible, even after several years. The built-in system uses rain water to cause the ashes to be gradually released to the earth. Once started, this process takes place over a period of approximately ten years (depending on rainfall).
The process of ‘letting go’ over a period of years is perfect for those who think scattering is too final and too abrupt, yet wish to release the ashes. This garden memorial provides a place to memorialise, yet allowing nature to take its course.
The urn is bronze and approximately 40cm or 16 inches, The ashes are placed inside a compartment in the sphere, rainwater is captured via two grooves and percolates through the sphere coming into contact with the ashes. which are taken down a pipe into the earth below.
